Satomi no Yu
About public baths: One of many pleasures of Japan is the public bath. For those who aren’t familiar, Japanese public baths are enjoyed in the nude (no swimsuits allowed). There are usually baths indoors and outdoors with various styles to help you relax: hot pools with jets, shallow ones to let you lay down, etc. If you’re worried about being naked, don’t worry – the baths are separated by sex, no one looks, and no one cares. There are certain rules to enjoying a bath such as washing your body before you get in, no tattoos (the majority of the time), etc, so do your homework before you go.
General Summary: Satomi no Yu is a spacious place to relax, eat, and melt away your stress. Their facilities include locker rooms, showers, indoor and outdoor baths, private baths (￥), rock sauna, a restaurant (￥), massage treatments (￥), television room with individual built-in speakers, and a manga and magazine-reading area.
Private baths: They also have private baths that you can reserve for 2 hours at a time. There are 3 types: Fusehime 伏姫 (4~6 people, indoor bath), Yatsufusa 八房 (2~4 people, outdoor bath), and Tomisan 富山 (2~4 people, outdoor bath). Each includes a private toilet, washing area, and bath. For 2 hours Fusehime costs ￥3,500 while Yatsufusa and Tomisan cost ￥2,500. Keep in mind that these prices are in addition to the entrance fee found below.
I’m not sure about the specifics of what is allowed in private baths, but I can say that you are allowed to go in with someone of the opposite sex. As to how many of each sex are allowed in one room, I don’t know.
