Haraoka Sanbashi

Haraoka Sanbashi

This scenic beach is a famous spot for viewing Mt. Fuji. Come on a clear day to get a perfect view of the dormant volcano! Because of the humidity it’s clearest in the winter or spring when you can see its snowy cap.

To witness the famous Diamond Fuji, when the sun sets on the peak, come on either May 6th or 7th, or August 5th or 6th. (The sun will set at 6:25 and 6:45 respectively, so come early to catch it at the perfect point.)

Also, this spot is only a 12-minute walk from Tomiura Station (and there’s a delicious bakery called Manga on the way there).
