Minamiboso Flower March, Feb. 2019

WHAT: The 29th annual Minamiboso Flower March. The yearly event is a sister city walk with Blankenberg, Belgium that gets people together to celebrate our community, health, and sister city relationship.

WHEN: Sat. 2/16, Sun. 2/17 (*march will proceed except in the event of extreme weather)

WHERE: Minamiboso City Chikura Health Center (2705-6 Seto, Chikura-cho, Minamiboso-shi, Chiba-ken)

WHO: Anyone can participate in this community walk, so long as you follow the checkpoints and traffic safety rules. Middle-schoolers and younger must come with a guardian. Those with a physical disability must come with an assistant.

SIGNING UP: (Deadline for online registration is Sat., Feb. 9)

You can sign up for either Saturday or Sunday, or both. If you sign up before the Feb. 9th deadline you can walk both days for the price of one.

COST: The general sign-up fee is 1000 yen for Awa residents and 2000 yen for others. The fee for high school students is 500 yen for Awa residents and 1000 yen for others. Middle school students and younger are free.

WHAT TO BRING: Lunch, water bottle, rain gear, hat, cup, health insurance card, receipt (to prove you paid the sign up fee), etc. ※To help the environment there will be no paper containers for drinks provided. Please bring your own.

(Car)
Umi Hotaru→Tomitsu Tateyama Highway(About 60 mins)→Tomiura Interchange(Approx. 30 mins)→Asai Administration Center →Walk 10 mins→Main venue
※From Tomiura IC, highway 127 toward Tateyama is one-way. Turn left at the Nago intersection. Turn right one light after you pass the intersection in front of Minamiboso Miyoshi Chiiki Center. Then it’s a one-way toward Chikura.
