Houko Park, Cherry Blossom Festival
WHAT: Cherry blossom festival. You can see gancho cherry blossoms, daffodils, red plum blossoms, and white plum blossoms.
WHEN: Sunday, Feb. 2, 2019
10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (will be canceled if it rains)
PLACE: Houko Park and surrounding area
ACTIVITIES: There will be an open-air tea ceremony, taiko drum performance, kamishibai picture story show, and koto recital. The tea ceremony costs ￥200 if you want a sweet. The koto recital will be held at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
There will also be food vendors selling frankfurts, handmade bread, pickles, yakisoba, sake, beer, sweet rice-wine, and more.

PARKING: The surrounding road will be closed to traffic, so please park your car and then walk. There is parking nearby. Please see the PDF below for a map. The “P” shows where the parking lot is, located above a restroom. The road surrounding the flower fields, marked in black, will be closed to vehicles.
